Ingredients

  • Cheesy Béchamel

  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup 15% cream
  • A small pinch of salt
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • Crispy breadcrumbs

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp. salad dressing

Before you begin, pierce each bag of Nature’s Touch broccoli then microwave for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, make the cheesy béchamel.

Cheesy béchamel

Step 1

Melt the butter over medium heat then add the garlic. Brown for 1 to 2 minutes then sprinkle with flour. Form a roux.

Step 2

Gradually pour in the milk, whisking well. When it boils and the sauce has thickened, pour in the cream.

Step 3

Add the salt and black pepper as well as the cheese. Mix with a whisk until a homogeneous sauce is obtained.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to low then add the broccoli. Stir to coat and remove the pan from heat. Pour into a serving dish.

Crispy breadcrumbs

Step 1

Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat then add the breadcrumbs. Mix to coat.

Step 2

Allow the breadcrumbs to color for 2-3 minutes, watching carefully. Add salad dressing, toss one last time. When the breadcrumbs are crispy, remove the pan from the heat.

Step 3

Sprinkle the broccoli with the crispy breadcrumbs and a little bit of paprika then serve.
