Advancing Sustainability Through Action

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from reducing our environmental footprint to supporting communities and developing innovative upcycled products. We are always finding new ways to create a positive and lasting impact.

Waste diversion

We’re working to divert 90% of our waste from landfill, transition all flexible packaging to recyclable formats and achieve net-zero emissions in our supply chain by 2050.

We prioritize recyclable materials and continually explore innovations that reduce packaging waste without compromising product integrity.

Sustainability starts with the packaging. At Nature’s Touch, we’re making strides to reduce the environmental footprint of our packaging by:

Recyclable packaging

We’re working with our customers and suppliers to transition all retail packaging to recycle-ready.

Exploring Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content

We’re working with industry associations, our suppliers & customers on identifying opportunities to integrate recycled content into our packaging, reducing reliance on virgin plastics and driving a more sustainable future.

Participating in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

We participate in extended producer responsibility programs throughout North America to help create a circular economy for plastic packaging.

Recycling programs

Each of our plants runs robust recycling and organic waste programs, with the goal of diverting 90% of operational waste from landfill.

Decarbonization

As signatories to The Climate Pledge, we are committed to decarbonization our operations and value chain. Our long-term goal is to reach net zero emissions by 2050.

Water efficiency

We are using IoT technology to monitor and optimize water usage, ensuring sustainable management of resources.

Human Rights

Our key suppliers are required to have SMETA 4-Pillar audits on a regular basis, ensuring they are following best practices on labor standard, health & safety, environmental management and business ethics.

Supporting food security

We work with food rescue organizations in all our communities to donate surplus products from our operations.

Fair and ethical labor practices

We hold ourselves and our suppliers to the highest ethical standards and have a robust due diligence program in place to reduce social risks and promote continuous improvement in our supply chain.
